The Visiting Nurse Program was established to provide skilled nursing home health services to those without insurance or with limited financial resources. This program provides services to approximately 325 clients per year, averaging 8,500 total visits per year, all in the greater Tulsa area. The program is funded in part by the United Way, with other support provided through grants and donations. The unique business model of the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) provides additional funding to this program from revenues earned from our two fee-for-service departments, Wellness, and Private Care. The Visiting Nurse Association of Tulsa ensures that monies spent with the VNA for such services as flu shots from our Wellness department or having in home care from our Private Care department, goes back into the community of Tulsa. The Visiting Nurse Association of Tulsa is the only free standing not-for-profit home health agency in the state of Oklahoma. Our goal is to provide home health care to those individuals who would not otherwise be eligible for this needed care because of lack of insurance or financial resources.
